Cromwell wishes to ask around town to find out more about the noble that was "slain by skeletons" down in Barrowmaze.
Cromwell you are approached Frankie Four-Fingers, who looks a bit shady but claims to be a "contractor." He claims to be able to raise a shrine to St. Ygg in Barrowcrest for a paltry sum (all your gold).
Being a faithful priest, and green in the ways of the world, you naively hand it over (without a "contract") and never hear from him again.
You are now penniless, cold, and lonely.
Thank you for carousing :)
Against his better judgement, Cromwell is going to carouse again, I'll roll dice after the post.
Cromwell, feeling a little guilty about his ill-gotten gains of late wants to build a chapel to St. Ygg right here in barrowcrest.
You spend 400, gain 400xp, and have hired a stonemason who has drafted a plan and began work on a modest shrine.
Cromwell atones for the lies he has perpetrated to Lord Ironguard in order to save The Three. He tithes 100 gold but is prepared to give away all he has.
As you know I rolled a 1 on a d4, and a natural 20 on a d20.
You spend 100gp to purchase building supplies for the shrine to St. Ygg.
You spend the rest of your time in quiet meditation, reflecting on your heinous acts of murder, desecration, and falsehoods.
You receive a vision and understand your course of action:
1. You must seek Lord Ironguard, admit the truth of your (and your group's role), and must personally pay reparations in the sum of 3000gp.
2. You must complete your shrine to St.Ygg in a timely fashion after paying your reparations to Ironguard and use this holy site to recruit and teach new acolytes the righteous cause of Ygg.
3. You must forsake worldly possessions (items or gold). You can only have what you may carry reasonably. The rest you must give away (see monk).
Note: the same goes for Balifar except he must pay 6000gp to Ironguard because he has not started a shrine/temple/structure. He also must forsake worldly possessions.
Ah! well, I wasn't lying when I said I was prepared to give everything up, so that's good. Just one thing for clarification. What I may carry reasonably would be things like armor/weapon/some adventuring equipment and 100 coins or less? or are the townspeople going to start calling me Cromwell the Shameless for running around naked all the time? and is this a permanent change? I'd still like to make scrolls one day but hey, reparations are reparations.
